Karla J. Lux DPM
Dr. Lux was born and raised in a small town south of Buffalo, New York. Prior to her podiatric medical training she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After completion of her undergraduate training she then headed to Cleveland, Ohio. Here she attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating as Salutatorian of her class in 2005 and obtaining her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree.
Dr. Lux then completed a three year residency in Wilmington, Delaware at Christiana Care Health Services. During her training she focused on the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle, with a heavy emphasis on diabetic foot care and limb salvage. She served as Chief Resident for the third and final year of her residency.
Dr. Lux then relocated to North Carolina in the summer of 2008. She joined Chapel Hill Foot and Ankle Associates, P.A. shortly after her arrival to North Carolina. While practicing in Chapel Hill she has enjoyed meeting and serving the people of the Triangle area. She looks forward to discovering all that the area has to offer.
